Hello, AT&T Alliance members!

I need your help... I'm actively trying to leave Verizon. I've decided being a Verizon customer must be a lot like being in a really bad marriage... to a really wealthy man! You really, really want to leave... but you stay for the comforts he provides... I mean the Network! LOL

I have an active Straight Talk SIM, T-Mobile SIM, and picked up an AT&T SIM today. Ordering a Total Wireless as well. AT&T and T-Mo will send signal boosters of one flavor or another at no charge to help at my house, but I'm also concerned about coverage and data speeds when I'm not at home.

AT&T was measuring unusually slow in the middle of town in the AT&T store today. The kid with an iPhone 7+ that worked there put his sim in my Galaxy s6 Edge +, and we only had 3 Mbps down / 1.5Mbps up. Yes, he set up the APN for AT&T. Stuck the Verizon sim back in and got 49 Mbps down, 18 Mbps up. The kid said he'd been working there over a year, and never got more than 12 Mbps down, 3 Mbps up... AT&T could not possibly be this bad, could it?

Anyway, that is the reason for this post!

I'd like you to post your speedtest (by Ookla, available in the PlayStore) results for comparison, if you'd be so kind... (remember to shut off wifi first, or you won't be measuring AT&T cell data :-))

Oh, and please mention if you are on AT&T firmware, or took another phone to them. Thanks!

(P.S. - I'll give 5 AG points to the first 5 people who post their results! Thanks again...)

Posting from my computer and not my phone... I'm in the suburbs of Atlanta. Usually have 1-2 bars of signal in my house. Only tested once, got 10 Mb down, 1Mb up. Plenty for me as I don't use a lot of data on my phone. (Less than 1 gig per month).

Still trying to get used to tap talk lol. But that was my result for phone data in the Meridian/ Boise area. Not sure if it's good or bad, but it's definitely better than the local ISP lol.

(Just figured out how to edit posts on the app lol. Forgot this is on AT&T as well. )
