so do not update to V2 if i have installed the blocker from January? I had my child get a hold of my note and the password failure caused the whole device to erase everything. but I have files on cp from before. thanks

Long story short, I found for sale a new-in box note 7 (second gen possibly? apparently sent as a replacement) . I have not yet turned it on as I want to ensure that I perform the right steps to prevent any updates from "infecting" my phone. Could someone help me as to sequenced steps to start from for a brand new phone? The model number is N930W8, based in Canada. (I could not find any details for a BNIB phone, as all posts are centered around phones already hit by the updates).
Have you gotten any help with this issue?.
