Yes, shield v1 intentionally blocks com.lookout for default.krazy006 wrote: Thu Feb 23, 2017 2:00 pm So i posted this in the FB group but what is the best method for someone with BK package disabler still on there phone along with Shield V1 (0.5.8) all i am trying to do is to get my Lookout Security to work again (T-Mobile). It could possibly be used as backdoor to inject the updates.
You can re-enable this at your own risk in the packed disabler settings of the shield.

Maybe it's srh. with to co-existence with shield an bk.
Will bk just start for you? Only try this with disabled internet (WIFI off and mobile data off or w/o sim card) to prevent it getting internet access and license killed.
If working, you could re-enable com.lookout there.
However, if your phone type is AT&T or Verizon, you can do it with debloater

Nope. Shield v2 isn't a package disabler at all. It just re-installs the relevant packages with insufficient permission to fail from running.
If you want to have a good security application I'd recommend this one:

You cannot enable/disable packages through Shield v1 or v2. v1 had EULA and Knox issues with Samsung pulling licenses, and v2 is just to block updates no package disabler. If you go to v2 make sure you download it to an SD card, the restore your phone to factory settings, and turn off Wi-Fi and install shield v2, make sure it's active and you are good to go. That would be the only way to use lookout, it isn't disabled by default in v2.
