Do I need to uninstall Package disabler pro now or I can keep both of them in my phone (am getting a bit paranoid)...

Thank you guys who worked and contributed in this forum.
Package disabler pro 6.3 doesn't work only if updated to newer version. So it's important to deactivate updating in play store.

Normally there is no advantage to have 2 different package disablers on one device. But if you have a working pdp 6.3 you can stay with it. But take care, If you uninstall this, it will activate all disabled packages. If you choose to do so, first go to airplane mode or disable wifi and mobile data / remove sim. Oherwise the update will be pushed!

However, the 2 package disablers should be able to co-exist, as long as you don't try to open both together.

I don't know if PDP 6.3 will "phone home" if opened and void its own license in the future. That's why I use an additional firewall to refuse any internet access for PDP 6.3. Also you can suspend internet access before opening it.
Thank you very much Beowulf! that's really a good tip :)

Not sure if anyone else is getting this but I've followed the instructions for the S package disabler for the ATT version which made me download a few things to my laptop, then use the Command window to disable a few things on my phone. All looked like the screen shot that was provided in the instructions. But over the last two days since I performed it, I kept getting a notification from Samsung about the battery killer (Notification, not update or download.) Which has be slightly worried, but so far nothing has tried to download or anything.

Maybe you mixed sth. What you've used was the APK installer together with the script and output in the command window. This is not S package disabler. But should work for you too.

And what kind of notification did you get? Was it a push notification or just a text message?

Hmm, so maybe I messed something up? Tried following the instructions from the 'Guide to blocking packages 60%' in that sub forum. But they're just popping up as push notifications from the Samsung push thing.

Is it this here:

I used the viewtopic.php?f=14&t=30

But they're not popping up every time I plug the phone in, or wake up the screen. They show up maybe once or twice a day just as regular notifications from some samsung application. If I was thinking I'd take a screenshot of it. It doesn't download anything, or open anything up. Just simply tells me about the latest kill update for the battery and that the phone has been recalled. It only started when I went from the 6.3 PDP to trying out the one from the link.

Hmm, you used the correct tutorial (but it's not s package disabler, that would be an apk to install on your phone similar to PDP)

What did you do with your PDP (uninstall or just re-enable packages)? Maybe you had an internet connection while working on the APK installer with the script, so the notification could sneak in, before the script was fully processed?

Hmmm it could be possible, it could even be possible that I'm still unprotected and it's just waiting. Granted I don't think I re enabled them before removing PDP lol. Would you be kind enough to redirect me to the app if possible?

Going through all the steps again, and it looks like I was suppose to go through the "blocking packages" guide before using S-Package Disabler. It seems like I've done quite a bit out of order because I previously had PDP and didn't go through all the instructions properly. Going to try to do this properly, so can someone tell me if this seems correct?

Current situation: T-Mobile variant with old version of PDP installed and used a few months back (Never updated through Play Store). Never got the 60% update etc, but I am getting this notice being pushed every now and then

http://i.imgur.com/yZUSIye.png

Also a notification in settings TO download an update (I assume is the first 60% battery update). I don't think it downloaded and is ready to install, just a message TO download it

http://i.imgur.com/Nn2Fvva.png

So in my situation, the order of operations should be...

T-Mobile + Sprint + International Carriers
-Install Samsung Smart Switch for PC if you don't already have the drivers.
-Download the Solid Explorer apk to your PC and remember where it is.

Prepare your Note 7:
-Place your phone on airplane mode
-Take out the SIM and SD card out of the Note 7.
-If you have a package disabler, now it the time to enable all packages (Uninstall PDP and S-Package Disabler, since it's safe to do so in airplane mode and since we're going to use S-Package Disabler after)
-On your Note 7, go to Settings---> Developer Options---> Scroll down and turn on USB Debugging, OEM Unlock and Verify Apps via USB. If you do not have Developers Option

Block The Update:
-Connect your Note 7 to your PC via USB Type C Cable and wait for it to make a connection.
-On your PC, move the Solid Explorer apk onto your phone. You can put it in any folder in the you want. As long as you know where to locate it.
-On your Note 7 go to Apps---> My Files---> locate Solid_Explorer2.2.2.apk and install it to your phone
-On the Solid Explorer App, go to the top left hand side of the screen. Tap on the "Settings" menu which the icon looks like 3 horizontal lines.
-A vertical tab will appear from the left. Tap on the small "gear" icon that is at the top.
-Scroll down and check off the box that says "Show root storage"
-Go back and click on the Settings menu and a lock icon will appear called "Root" Tap on that storage.
We will now install the packages that causes the firmware 60% batter to download and update. By Installing these files, it will bring them out of your root folder and make them useless. Depending on your carrier, you will not have some of these packages
-Go to System---> priv-app---> SOAgent---> click on the file SOAgent.apk and open file using "Package Installer"
-Go to System---> priv-app---> FotaAgent---> click on the file FotaAgent.apk and open file using "Package Installer"
-Go to System---> priv-app---> wssyncmldm---> click on the file wssyncmldm.apk and open file using "Package Installer"

after all of that is complete, I'll reinstall S-Package Disabler and follow up with disabling packages using only this disbaler. Sound right?

My concern was that I had two simultaneously package disablers and never did the solid explorer method first to completely block OTA updates.

I should be able to uninstall the package disablers (both of them) while in airplane mode, go through the solid explorer install method via USB, install the Agent files, and then reinstall S-Package Disabler again to disable all packages right?

Okay, I found a list from one of the sub forums, but the only thing is, nothing I input into the search bar brings anything up. (Could be possible they were previously knocked out from the command version?) Did knock something out like an ATT remote support, protect plus, and Samsung push services. But that's it.

Oh and the screen shots that pspecial posted were the exact notifications I had been getting.

Normally that's right, but it's a suspicious thing with the notification "Tap her to update the firmware..." on top of the settings. Seems that the update anyway did sneek in and just waits for installation. It should fail if you've correctly done the steps with the Solid explorer method but In this case I would prefer a factory reset and repeat the steps for blocking updates being completey offline (pulll out sim card, no WIFI)

S package disabler will not show up packages that are already disabled, but there's a function to show diasabled packages. Will they be shown then?

As i wrote here: https://note7alliance.com/viewtopic.php?p=1240#p1240

it's a supicious thing that you just have the "Tap here to update the firmware..." notification on top of settings. And as you did the APK installer method, it can be that the update process won't fail if it has been already pushed. To be safe and get rid of the notification I'd prefer to factory reset and repeat without any internet connection (pull out sim card, no WIFI)
