I believe the updates are actively pushed. After you turn off airplane mode, it will eventually catch up unless it's disabled. When everyone got the 60% update, my phone was off as I was away on trips. When I got back, 2 weeks later it updated overnight.

I also got this message, but only read it 25 minutes ago! I'm now in full panic mode! I'm sick as a dog and every bone in my body is screaming but this has to take center stage! I love my Note 7. I will do whatever it takes to keep it!LesGarten wrote:3967 I got these emails starting a month and a half ago or so.
Tomorrow is the big day.
Here's the message I just received(same as before):
I have the Current Alliance 7 shield installedAT&T Free Msg: Urgent update. Tomorrow 1/5/2017 Samsung's software update to prevent the Galaxy Note7 battery from recharging will be pushed to your Note7. The battery will no longer recharge. This Note7 was recalled and is banned on all flights in both checked and carry-on luggage. Your safety is our priority, please return your Note7 to the place you purchased for an exchange. For more details go to att.com/note7
How worried should I be?

I still dont know how this is legal. I am paying monthly for this phone. I own it yet they can mess vandalize it? Can you imagine driving a new car off the lot and the dealership saying, your engine might fail so for the greater good, we will prevent you from starting it? this is crazy!
there has to be a way to litigate this!
I don't see how you can sue.nfamouzprincezz wrote:4681 Yes T-Mobile pushed the kill update.. yes our shield is working. As for the imei those of you on payments (at&t still charges us) and pay on time.. they are binded by that contract.
