Verizon, 100% battery, no notifications of updates, no pending updates... wi-fi and cell service left on. So far, so good.

So the update definitely worked for me but I just got a package in the mail to return my note 7 back within 5 to 7 days or will be charged the full retail price.....anyone else get this....and can they do that....i don't see how they could sense they think the phone isn't working anymore anyway...how are they going to try to charge people full retail price for a phone that isn't suppose to work anymore??

I'm definitely taking my card and auto pay off my account....i don't see how they can charge 100% for a phone they sent out an update that killed it...(even though mine is working fine) and for a recall.....isnt that illegal??....not sure if this is a scare tactic to try to get phone back or can they really charge me ??

Just got back from vacation. I left my phone off and without the wifi. Hopefully I'll be able to prevent the update to install the shield.

Nothing has happened to my phone yet either. Got a a locked gmail (FRP mode) Verizon from a friend.
Bricked it but was able to recover it. After flashing new firmware I noticed when I tested a Verizon SIM it tried to update.
I use T-mobile service currently on the Verizon model and everything works except DATA.
Very happy for the gift from my unhappy friend.
