Soft Reset for Frozen/Unresponsive Note 7

Yesterday morning my N7 became unresponsive, froze, then went to do a reboot automatically after few seconds. Then, for hours it was hung up on the circular swirly pad lock icon screen and was not advancing. I thought my phone malfunctioned and was dead forever (I remembered someone else experiencing this and requiring a warranty claim for new phone, which is no longer available, of course). Before I panicked, I searched several N7 forums and N7 FB groups and got nothing. Went four hours without a N7, before I found this fix below. It saved me and I'm back in business!!

Simply press and hold down both the power button and volume down simultaneously for 7-10 seconds until you feel a vibrate and see the phone reset. Even if the phone is completely unresponsive this will work. The phone will turn off and reboot to a normal working condition.
