I just joined the forum and it is phenomenal. Here is my scenario.
- First off, since I had to board a plane last week I switched phones to my old Galaxy S3 and have not re-enabled the Note 7.
- The firmware to limit charging has been pushed to my phone (download only) but has yet to be installed.
- I put my phone in Airplane Mode and will stop using WiFi / Bluetooth until after I am successful updating.
My phone is N930V with N930VVRS2APHE firmware.
Could you please directly towards the appropriate forum steps I should follow to stop future updates.
Will the firmware already downloaded firmware update disappear or will I have to factory reset my phone?
I understand that this question is redundant and I am happy to do the legwork to teach myself what to do but I am reading many methods for different scenarios and I want to pick the right solution per my phone above. I just read a post about blocking an update for an non rooted phone and I would like implement a solution like that if possible. I am afraid I might root my phone by accident if I don't follow the appropriate instructions (I am not a programmer but am an individual who knows enough to be dangerous (to myself that is).
