I already fixed my 60% battery charge. I did the ultimate guide for blocking packages and everything seems to go through correctly, but today i am getting warning notifications about the update being pushed between dec. 15 and jan 5th. does this mean that packages are not blocked? or is it something to not worry about?

No, your phone is fully protected. You may still get the warning notifications, but nothing to worry about. You might also try the app called Good Lock as it's stopped the notifications for some.
