Wifi calling issues

Anyone have this issue? I truly don't want to restore my device. I only had this and the overlay issues when I went back to 100% battery with Odin. I have crap service in my house due to metal roof. On my porch is amazing but it's cold and I need wifi calling inside. Any help would be much appreciated 😊

Sent on. Also you can log out of the shield and log back in so the packages won't be blocked if you enable the shield again

So Shield is blocking something that wifi calling needs, and logging out of Shield will let the wifi calling enable, and then at that point he should log back into Shield? (assumably before the killer update loads? Or is that not a concern?)

No, I had sent directions to enable some packages that after more review don't need to be blocked on Sprint.

As a way to update the block list without needed to push an update, each time you log into the app it downloads a list of packages that we have determined need to be blocked. We corrected the list a few days ago, so by logging out and back in the new list will be downloaded and it will not ask to block that package.

Maybe I'm mistaken or over-reacting, but I imagine that the killer update is waiting at the door and if you unlock it, it will burst in and kill you. So is that not true? Because on my phone, it is there and trying to update every few hours and is being thwarted each time by Shield v2. So wouldn't it be dangerous to log off of Shield v2 even for a moment?

The protection is still in place, even if you log out.

On v2 you can't turn off the shield, you have to go into your application manager and and undo what the shield did. It is totally safe to log out.

Even v1 is safe if you logout.

In fact when you logout it shows you a status of the shield so you know if you are safe.

So you log out then back in, and in that process it updates. cool

Somebody said that if you are getting the "unfortunately, software update has stopped" pop up, you can factory reset and that will go away. I want to make sure these types of suggestions are true before I try anything.

So in settings, there is a badge with "1" showing, so presumably that is the update sitting there waiting to strike. If you factory reset, does that delete the update? And then logging back in to Shield v2 will prevent it from downloading it again, and then no more pop up?

If you factory reset, the pending update is gone and the notification too.
But also the shield is gone, you have to re-install it. So download shield v2 to your pc before.

After factory reset, do initial setup of your Note w/o sim card and wifi off. If initial setup is done, transfer the already downloaded shield v2 apk to your Note via USB connection or sdcard, then install it. Only enable wifi for the short moment to login to shield. Then you can disable wifi again.
With acivated shield you're protected.
