[SOLVED,] Remain as 60% but block future updates

Hi,
I'm a noob to this rooting process and would need some help to confirm the following:
1. If i want the batt to remain at 60% but block future updates (mainly the one that stop charging at 0%, do i do this ONLY:
To prevent the firmware update from happening again go to this post:
FIRST DO THIS:
Ultimate Guide to Blocking Packages That Causes 60% Battery Firmware (All Models)
THEN DO THIS:
Disable Samsung updates with S Package Disabler, working for all no rooted models
YOU HAVE TO DO BOTH
2. After doing the above 2, how would i know its done deal? & that i wouldnt receive anymore updates esp the one on 0%?

As long as the application gives you the "ALL DONE" message at the end, you are protected. This is not rooting the phone, just blocking packages that the update uses. Can I ask out of curiosity, why do you want to leave battery at 60%?

Hey, thanks for the reply. So the 2 steps are enough to block OTA , I needn't root the phone right? Because my phone gets rather hot when it goes to 70%+ charge, so I rather it stays at 60%.

Moreover I read that 930FD snapdragon is rather tough to root, i might accidentally brick the phone ?

Using fast charging will get the phone warm to got. You can disable fast charge and do normal charging. That might get you to 100% without getting your phone hot. The only caveat is that it will not fast charge. N930FDs are Exynos. 930FDs are the only ones that can be rooted with a custom rom

And as always, the disclaimer is that you there is always a chance to brick our phone if we are doing something Samsung did not intend us to do

Ic.. i didnt know fast charging actually cause the phone to get warm and mine even warps slightly.
Thanks for all the great advise guys! I've just followed the procedures & blocked all the updates and fingers crossed, it refuses the 28th Dec's update!

Just wanna update that my note 7 is still working without the 0% interference from samsuck !!!
Once again, great thanks to the contributors of this forum and If there's any way that we can make a $ contribution as an appreciation.
I think many of us out there would like the idea.
