Sim Card and SD Card After Flashing to Previous Firmware

Hello -

I had a 2 part question regarding the 2 instructional videos that I was hoping the community could help clarify for me.

Question 1. I followed the great tutorial video on getting my phone back to allow 100% charge; everything looks back to normal now. The instructions mentioned removing the SIM Card and SD Card, could someone let me know when it would be safe to put it back in?

I have a S7 Edge for my actual phone so probably don't need the SIM Card for my Note7; but does it hurt anything if I put it back in? The thing is so tiny I hate leaving it around the house.

Question 2. In the instructional video on installing Shield v2 to prevent OTA from installing on my phone, there is a separate section at the bottom with the title, "AT&T + Verizon ONLY"

How does that section relate to the Shield v2? The instructions I am referring to are the one at the link below: http://note7alliance.com/viewtopic.php?f=14&t=237

You can put te sim card in, when your protection is completed. (Shield installed an activated).

The section AT&T + Verizon ONLY describes a completey different method with ADB script. Cause of different firmware it only works with AT&T and VZW models. This has nothing to do with shield v2. However, if someone is using this method, shield isn't required and should not be used.
