Getting Started: File transfer from Mac to Note 7

Trouble already: Have turned on developer options, but I can't find a way to turn on Media Transfer so that I can move information from Mac USB to Note 7. I have already installed Mac to Andriod "Android File Transfer" App, but without turning this on on the Note 7 it seems undiscoverable. Any help? I am keeping the Note off the internets so it doesn't move from a 60% capacity to a 3% Capacity.

Other things I will need to do include unlocking the device from bell networks and allowing it to link to telus. Anyway, let me know.

Thx,
Ryan.

Moved your topic here, because it's a support question and has nothing to do with the tutorials forum area.

To activate MTP in Note7 just open developer options and scroll there to USB configuration. Here you can activate MTP.

No experience to remove carrier lock for Canadian models. Maybe its helpful to look for a telus firmware to flash.
But as far as I know, all canadian carriers blocked the Note7 from access to their networks. However if you manage to change the carrier, maybe it works.

My Mac has no problems transfer to my Note 7.

I have discovered in the quest to save pennies, some USB cables are charge only and don't have support to transfer data. I would check that first by using the cable that came with your phone.
