Carrier Unlock Problem

I have tried two different unlock websites and both tell me that they cannot unlock my note 7, it's a UK model locked to Vodafone, I suspect Samsung has something to do with this.
Is their any other method that can be used to unlock my Note 7 or am I stuck with it being locked to Vodafone?

Which firwmware do you have? Please provide complete firmware number.
Think it should be possible to flash another unbranded 930F firmware, after this device should be unlocked.

This firmware is a baseband 3 one, with the 30% charging limit.
So it's not possible to downgrade to a baseband 2 firmware with 100% charging ability (and I wouldn't recommend to flash other carriers limited firmware too), but you can install a custom recovery / root / custom rom.
After this procedure you'll have a rooted Note with 100% charging and unlocked to all carriers as well.
You can follow the steps as described here:

From the research I've done so far flashing a custom rom will apparently not sim unlock the phone to all carriers, if anybody has successfully done this please comment here....

Maybe further measures are necessary with some unlock app or setting permiisions and changing owner of nv_data.bin.
But for all this root access is required usually.
With the procedure described above you get rid of charging limits and meet requirements if further action needed.

Would still like to keep the stock firmware on my Note 7, it charges to 100% without issues and I'm using ShieldX to prevent the Samsung kill updates being installed, however its locked to EE (in the UK) I would like to unlock it if possible using conventional methods, ie website that has unlocked phones for me in the past, what I do not know is if the codes are pulled from Samsung or that they have been deleted from the unlocking database because the last one I tried to unlock (Vodafone in UK) it was not possible using these websites and obviously Vodafone did not want to know because of the recall situation I would imagine EE's attitude will be the same.
Can anybody let me know what they understand about this matter?

I'm pretty adamant you can't bypass sim/network locks by flashing unbranded firmware, as there would be no point in having said codes.
Back in the day, if you went down the rooted path, you could dump the nv_data.bin file, and with a hex editor and a lot of trial-and-error, you could dig out the network code.
These days, some telcos won't even charge for the code, or if they do, it's only about $10-$20 depending on the device age, of course, if the telco it's locked to is still in business you would think they would still have the software to extract the code from the IMEI as that's usually the source where the unlock code is calculated from.
Here are a few websites for some lite reading...
https://www.tenorshare.com/samsung/sams ... -code.html
https://www.unlockphone.codes/how-unloc ... generated/
I also did a 2-second search and found what I assume is the network provider your device is locked to, and the good news according to their website network unlocking is free.

Have fun, and I hope the info helps to get your issue resolved or at least headed in the right direction. 😁
