I FINALLY GOT THE SHIELD V3 INSTALLED SUCCESSFULLY ON MY NOTE 7!!!
If anybody has had issues doing so in the recent past...
this might help you out.
~Remember that you cannot be signed in to any account or service on the phone in which the shield is being installed.
~Also, Google Play Services is required for the Shield to work properly... or to even install successfully, for that matter.
~That being said... Google has released a recent update for their Google Play Services app.
~The Catch-22 is that you have to sign in to updat it after factory reset and before installing Shield.
~But because the update takes a little longer than the usual app update, you tend to forget to go back and sign out of Google.
~The amount of time you have to connect to WiFi and update the Services app, only depends on how bad your carrier or Samsung happens to want your device at that moment.
~SUGGESTION: FOLLOW THE BACKUP AND RESET INSTRUCTIONS AS IS. ONCE YOU HAVE NAVIGATED ALL OF THE WELCOMING SCREENS WITHOUT CONNECTING TO WIFI... YOU NEED TO SIGN INTO YOUR GOOGLE ACCOUNT AND QUICKLY UPDATE THE GOOGLE SERVICES PLAY APPLICATION. IF I'M NOT MISTAKEN ONCE IT IS DONE DOWNLOADING YOU CAN TURN THE WIFI OFF WHILE IT'S INSTALLING.
~Then Proceed As Instructed!!
