Note FE Firmware

Does anyone else think that the Note FE firmware may release us from the 'no further updates...' and the need for shield etc.? Could we flash that or would it brick? I'm on a verizon v2 n7 swapped to T-Mobile firmware. Everything works perfectly, but I'd love to update eventually.

Having mine on wifi without SIM I have not had any "killer" updates. But it seems unless you have the international version of the Note 7 the FE/R rom may not be of much use.

What is the custom note 7 rom? Is it an easy install?
