updating, phone lag, bluetooth issues

Okn here goes. I see there is an update for the shield. I'm about ready to do a full reset of my phone and go from there. Here is the real question though, is there updates for the bluetooth? I have been having random lag, connect, disconnect, or can't connect issues with my bluetooth headset (powerbeats3) and my car. Im sure the reset will help. It seems I have always had some issue with it. While other peoples phones have no problem connecting to the same devices...also is there any tips in regaurds to the factory reset, anything I should watch for..? Thanks in advanced. ~Joe
