i ended a call set phone down and when i picked it up later was unresponsive and a black screen. I tried a soft reset holding power button down with down volume and phone never responded .. I dont know what to try next

I read that and phone never responds or resets .. I had just under 60% of battery left.. I cant even get into boot mode

Have you tried :
1) Charging it fully (see if the light comes on)
2) Reset- Volume down and Power keys together for 10 second
3) Recovey Mode - press and hold the following buttons for a few seconds, all at the same time: Power + Volume Up + Home (this can also be done via adb commands)

Ive tried everything you mentioned there with no success ... no lights when plugged in, doesn't reset or go into recovery when holding all the buttons .. looks like my only option is some how getting in with adb commands

well still no fix phone still blank and no fix in site looks like my fight is coming to an end did lots of reading and nobody has my issues .. leads me to believe i was doomed from the start sadly. will miss my note .. thanks for help hopefully you guys can hang on till note 8 comes out good luck all.

for anyone stuck with 30% or phone is stuck on recovery this new solution worked for me my phone is now working fine with 100% battery after over two weeks of no joy

that firmware is a 930f and fd did you flash an American phone with an international version? I have at&t 930a not sure I can flash that version

This is for Exynos processor based devices only! If you try this on snapdragon processor based device it will fail!

However, there are few people even in North America who got an SM-N930F/FD. They could use it like Hydra ROM to get back 100%.

typically you can't change the version of the roms but I am dead in the water at this point will weigh my options and see if anything is worth trying... thanks for help

So which phone did you use this update on???? Verizon, Tmoble, ATT????
