Freedompop sim works in my verizon n7 but I mainly use my verizon sim. I activated it the week of cyber monday and my imei was clear on their site the week of blackfriday. Im sure if you call the will say it works reguardless of if it works are not they are always trying to upsell you and get their commission.

EDIT- sorry was answering another thread an got confused.
Other people have used other prepaid carriers like T-Mobile and Straight Talk. Using Freedom-pop should hopefully fix the problem where you connect to the network and make a call.
