I dropped Verizon like a bad habit last night and today Im wondering if I did the right thing. At my desk at work I have zero service but we have good wifi so I figured no issue, ill use Wifi calling. Except for some reason I dont have the wifi calling options in setting anymore..... Reading online and it seems that the wifi calling wasnt enabled in the first release of the VZW Note 7 firmware but Im on the second release v2 Green Battery firmware and still dont have it. Im pretty sure I had wifi calling before I switched to T-Mobile but Im not 100% as I had good VZW service and didnt need the wifi calling.
Second, can I flash this 930V with the 930T firmware and get rid of all the Verizon crap?
VZW Note 7 moved to T-Mobile

Does this help? It's for the S7, but I thought it still may work?

Yea that was my first try. There is no WiFi Calling option under advanced options at all.

with my Straight Talk sim in my Verizon Note 7, I cannot activate it either. I do see it, but it's grayed out under "Activate Advanced Calling". I tried accessing it directly by using Quick Shortcut Maker and creating an icon for wi-fi calling, but it said I was denied permission.
So, my next try for you would be install Quick Shortcut Maker, and under Activities, search for wi-fi calling (you must use the dash in wi-fi, not wifi) and create a shortcut on one of you home screens. Then try to launch it from there... Any luck?

Tried that and it doesn't even show it as being there. What firmware version are you on?

This is what I'm on... I also have a T-Mobile SIM card, in addition to the Straight Talk SIM card. I figured at least this way I would have options...
I will try to put it in the T-Mobile SIM card again tomorrow and see what I can do. Initially, for me, even though I was not happy with the Straight Talk service I was even less happy with T-Mobile... I'm waiting to get up the nerve to just put my new Verizon SIM card back into my device for an extended period of time...

All tbis in central Florida area, mainly around Tampa....I've been running an app called opensignal...i hate that verizon is truly the best coverage in my area... I ran mobile for 1 day....enough issues i went to at&t the next day. The app tracks signal availability for the day. I work on computers for businesses and travel around about the same areas each day. Tmobile I had 24% of the day without signal, that same day my note 5 I had with me the entire time had no signal 0% of the time.
Day 2 switched to at&t I had 2.8% of the day woth no signal and verizon 0.1%, this was about the same locations as with tmobile.
With T-Mobile i regularly dropped calls and couldn't make calls or had super slow to no data....
With At&t I had some (I cant hear you you're breaking up) and in some buildings I normally have data, no data... but it was much closer to verizon....
I will say VZW seems far superior in coverage..
All that being said, I'm going to live with At&t for a little longer then switch SIMs back to be in March...
Side question, anyone had luck porting their number to good voice and later back?
