You may be able to roll back the firmware to an earlier version of android.

I'm not super techie with my phone so please forgive me for the lack of knowlege. i just love the note 7. I have 2 note 7's. one for me and another for my brother. my brothers phone has gotten the last update and will not charge any more. if thats the case, how would he go about rolling back the firmware to an earlier version?tony.marioth wrote: Wed Feb 01, 2017 7:51 am You may be able to roll back the firmware to an earlier version of android.

If I am remembering correctly, there is a forum on here somewere somewhere that states how to fix it if you received that update. As far as what I was talking about in my previous post, that is for people who want to root their Note 7s. As.long as you have NOT took ANY update that was OTA you should be fine to root with the sprint user-debug firmware. I hope my reply answered any questions you may have had. If you have anymore please don't hesitate to ask.

What's your phone status now? 60% limit?ElKabong wrote: Sun Feb 12, 2017 6:43 pm I've avoided the 0% update by keeping wifi and data off since the date it was threatened.
So roll back ROMs first then install shield, or vice versa?
Thanks a lot,
Ellkabong
So if you want to go back from this to 100%, install earlier ROM first, leave wifi and mobile data off, then install shield v2 and only enable data or wifi for a short time needed activating shield. If you installed the update packages with shield you'll be protected and you can use miobile data and wifi again.

I have a pending update right now from T-Mobile, do you know if the one the send is the 0%? Or do they send the 60% first and follow up with the other one?

If you read around on this site, you will find the tutorials on how to do it. You have to roll back your ROM's and install Shield v2. You will need a windows computerapostsamking wrote: Sun Mar 05, 2017 7:37 pm i mistakenly updated the Otaupdate, and now i can charge my phone. how do i fix this

Good day to all!
one of the scenarios when you upgrade to 0%:
- If your phone is updated to 0% will turn it off, to be able to roll back the firmware
- go home to your laptop, pull out the SIM card from the phone
- Download firmware https://samsung-firmware.org/ru/model/SM-N9300/ (I have N9300, use N9300ZHU2BPJ4, already saved 2 times 60%)
- use Odin to update firmware (I think labor should not make)
- cross your fingers and waiting for messages from the Samsung "An unauthorized attempt to reset device...."
at first loaded with fresh firmware note7 I doing everything to provoke failures in the network (pull the SIM card and like this)
I'm from Russia, apologize for my English
