Downloaded and installed new version of Shield and immediately got this pop up. Says unfortunately the process com.samsung.syncmlservice has stopped. Anything to worry about? What does it mean?

You're ok. The shield cancelled a sofware update process by doing fake install to this, so it can't run.evan.stuckert wrote: Sun Feb 12, 2017 9:30 am Downloaded and installed new version of Shield and immediately got this pop up. This is intentionally done.

No just popped up twice, seconds after install. Have not seen it since.aztek wrote: Sun Feb 12, 2017 4:55 pm The shield should eventually force-stop the packages in the background that installed and stop the pop-ups from happening. Does it happen incessantly or just once, or every now and then?

I'm still getting the following pop up causing my calls to drop when the pop up happens during phone calls and when I'm on browsing or streaming. The "software one" pops up several times a day too but doesn't interrupt anything. I've tried wiping data cache uninstalling and reinstalling this version but it didn't work. Any advice?aztek wrote: Sun Feb 12, 2017 4:55 pm The shield should eventually force-stop the packages in the background that installed and stop the pop-ups from happening. The behavior with the stopped phone process isn't normal. You can try to restart your phone to see if this will continue to happen.Lyvewire wrote: Mon Feb 13, 2017 11:56 amI'm still getting the following pop up Screenshot_20170207-205016.png causing my calls to drop when the pop up happens during phone calls and when I'm on browsing or streaming. Did you apply any other methiods to protect your phone before installing the shield (e.g. package disabler, ADB script, solid explorer etc.)?

Yes the phone has been restarted several times since around the 4 when I was approved for Beta testing. Prior to this I had S Package disabler that stopped working once KNOX blocked it. I used to get the software has stopped twice a reset but now its been consistent with the new phone process pop up. There isnt any other disabler active although I did try every kind known until I realized knox would block them all. Any other suggestions?beowulf381 wrote: Mon Feb 13, 2017 1:53 pmThe behavior with the stopped phone process isn't normal. i recommend factory resetting your phone and then installing shield v2 and blocking the up date. also, may sure that the auto updates are turned off. follow the video tutorial to turn it off before installing the shielf v2. this will make the pop only come up when you connect to wifi. we are working on a way to stop the pop up all together.

Thanks! I'll try that tonight. Your YouTube videos brought me here to begin with. I appreciate it

So I factory restored this last night. I backed up my data and apps to Helium and I ran the battery under 12% took out the sim card and was back to the beginning. I know the instructions was basically to make it to the home screen without wifi and logging in to my email. Both would not allow me to "skip" for some reason. They were both greyed out and after trying everything else I took a deep breath, crossed my fingers, logged into wifi, then Gmail>home page unchecked updates like instructions said and installed the Alliance apk from my SD card.
The old "unfortunately.process has stopped" pop up is gone. My shield is up and running and Blocked updates
- Urgent FWU
- Software Update
- Sprint OMADM
- Sprint OMADM Phone
- Mobile Installer
- Software Update
I later reset it for good measure. I noticed this time when I applied the Shield APK from my SD card more updates were blocked then the last time. The pop ups show "Unfortunately urgent fwu has stopped", and another I cant seem to replicate consistently as well as the standard "update has stopped" twice. So 3-4 all together. As well as "no connection cant download attachment"
So last night I was using my Airrave which gives me 3G. Left the house this morning, 3G disconnected, (like it usually does) reconnected then disconnected again permanently.
Long story short my data wont come back on. I tried using a Networt Signal Refresher that usually works but wont. Updating PRL and Profile wont work either without data.
In the past on my rooted Note 3 I would connect to wifi and update prl and profile when this happened. I don't have wifi at work so I can't try that method until later or I can factory reset again which I kind of want to avoid since I feel like I got lucky. At 1 point when I seen Software Update after connecting to my email I thought it was over! ..lol
I'm concerned if I uninstall Shield I'm unprotected, pissed I left my Note 3 to tether to wifi and also wondering if I added the shield too early. I did notice the update pop up in settings come after Sheild was installed (the 1 that says later or install now)
Any other work arounds how to skip wifi and email prompts if greyed out if I factory reset or should I wipe data and cache in case 1 of the updates blocked is connected to data?
This place is is the sh@! Aside from the data issue my phone is FAST again which I figured it would be.
***EDIT. I changed my Mobile Network from automatic to CMDA and got my data back. I guess its my LTE not working. I tried "LTE/CDMA" and no data either. I'll stay on CMDA until I figure this out***

@Lyvewire:
take out your sim and SD card and factory reset your phone again.
go through the prompts to get to the home screen
Turn off auto updates:
Go to Settings---> Lock screen and security---> Other security settings---> Security policy updates---> Auto update----> Make sure knob is to the left in the off position.
OR
Go to Settings---> System Update---> Download updates automatically---> Make sure knob is to the left in the off position.
also make sure it is set to download update via wifi only.
then put in your sim.
Go to your phone and dial:

If that doesn't work then go to Settings---> System Update---> Update Profile
restart phone, check and see if you are now connected to data.
then put it on airplane mode immediately and install the shield and block the update.
