My Note 7 did the newest Samsung Update and now it won't hold a charge. I'm let at 9%, but if I'm plugged in, it works just fine. Just won't charge. Will this shield help?

Unfortunately the Alliance Sheild does not. It only prevents the update from being downloaded. I am sorry we don't have a fix for that yet but we are working on it. If you want to continue to use your Note7, you will need to connect it to a battery pack.

I'm so sad. Thank you. I'll keep looking for an update that will.

I believe @kc.mullins posted a method for more technically-inclined users, which requires opening the phone. I doubt you want to do this, however- some options *are* available if you're desperate. This method was not verified nor tested by N7A staff so we are not responsible if you destroy your phone.

As of now it's the only way I just required another note 7 so I contacted samsung for a exchange and refund so they are sending a S7 edge and 325$ to me which is on its way and shluld be here tomorrow. Which then I'll have the Note 7 n S7 edge so I'm not complaining lol.. But as of now the only way to charge the Note 7 with the kill update is to force charge the battery thats it and its dangerous well kinda. If done it alot phone is ok if these phones where as dangerous as they said my phone would have blown on me already. If your brave enough to do it then there you go that's the only way to charge.. the next best thing is to go to walmart buy a 10,000 to 20,000 mah battery and just plug up to that.
