If you did a factory reset, then your protection with any packaged disabler is gone.Cloudsmoke850 wrote: Mon Feb 20, 2017 11:48 am I was on my note 7 using my VR and I guess to many buttons got pressed an some how my note 7 went into recovery mode then did factory reset.. i lost everything.. Follow the instructions here to get protected by shield v2:

Make sure if you boot up after factory reset, to do it without sim card and with wifi off. Only turn on wifi for a short moment, if you're unable to skip a step in the setup process otherwise, as some carrier versions require an internet connection during initial setup.

I've already booted after factory reset... I switched to straight talk from verizon about a month or so back.. no update has ever popped up. Is it to late?.. I wont be able to get night shield installed till later on tonight.. you think I'll be good till then? Or should i turn off my phone till I do the app install... also I would have to hook it up to my pc an install that way being that i was on Verizon or could I just install the app to my phone an get protection?

@Cloudsmoke850 No, you do not need to use a computer to install the Alliance shield. Just make sure system-wide auto-updates are off and don't connect to wi-fi as a precaution until you install the shield. You need 5 posts in order for the shield to accept your login (non spam). After that go to [ https://note7alliance.com/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=1058 ] and download the shield and follow the instructions.
