I have been trying to get rid of that annoying update notification for a while now. So what I did to remove it I'm not quite sure if it will mess with anything else on my phone but I thought it would be worth a shot. I used the Debloater tool and disabled 3 different packages:
com.samsung.sdm
com.samsung.sdmviewer
service.odtcfactory.sec.com.odtcfactoryservice
The last package I was not quite sure about but when I cleared the data of the system update, the update was gone for like a day and I say this was in my data usage when the update came back so I linked them together.
Are these packages safe to keep disabled or should I find another way? Thanks in advance for any info.

My package disable pro stopped working and I the update immediately started downloading. I put my phone in airplane mode but there is about 30 seconds left lol. Would installing the shield stop this update or am I screwed? Is the same issue as OP?
