Just curious if anyone knows how i can get rid of the annoying popup msgs that say, "Unfortunately, Softwate Update has Stopped" They pop up at the most inconvenient times and often several times back to back before they finally go away. Id love to permanently get rid of this. Thanks so much for your help!

In another thread, it was explained that you could factory reset your phone, and then reinstall Shield v2. The only problem is, that you have to be careful to not allow the killer update from loading. If you look around on here, you will see how to go about doing that

I don´t see it as an issue, but it would be great if it didn't appear

some people have it happen once or twice a day and others have it happen three or four times an hour.aaron.quintero wrote: Fri Apr 28, 2017 11:59 am I don´t see it as an issue, but it would be great if it didn't appear

As I've mentioned before, very easy to achieve with adb shell commands, namely adb shell pm hide 'package name'. The package name you derive with something like this adb shell pm list | grep soa. The apk possible names, I think 3 , are already published on these forums.

For now, this only works with AT&T and VZW models, but not with Sprint or T-mobile and most none-US models, cause of an Android (not Samsung) security patch, which was already implemeted there before the recall.millicent wrote: Sun May 14, 2017 7:27 am As I've mentioned before, very easy to achieve with adb shell commands, namely adb shell pm hide 'package name'.
