For people with the 60% battery who will roll back ROMs, and have read Catwoman's tutorials and are ready to attempt the process, the questions are:
If you have a package disabler on the phone, will rolling back ROMs disable that? If so, how do you clear it off so that Shield v2 will work?
Or should you install Shield v2 first and then flash ROMs?
Once you complete ROMs, you need to turn on wifi to allow Shield v2 to work. Won't the killer update quickly download at that time? Will just leaving SIM out prevent that?
What about data, leave that off?
Thanks very much for your help and dedication to the people. We appreciate it, and let us know what we can do for you.

I basically found out all of the answers to my questions by reading around on this site.
I was able to roll it back using all of the info here. Now I have 100% battery and Shield v2. Also installed GoodLock and so have no popup.
I had turned off wifi since the threatened 0% update and he one thing I was worried about was turning it on to activate Shield v2. But it turns out that the update needs about a minute to download and the Shield v2 only needs about 10 seconds to verify login.
The one thing I did wrong was not remove BK Disabler. But it doesn't seem to be causing any problem so i don't want to mess with it.

I downloaded Shield v2 to my computer and was able to transfer it to phone SD card with just usb cable (once I was running windows 10 on my mac with Parallels emulator)Catwoman wrote: Wed Feb 22, 2017 9:43 pm You should have downloaded the Alliance Shield v2 to your SD card and installed it that way. And only connect to the internet when you need to log in. Which is like 2mins.
I installed it, and filled in the login info. it said "check your internet connection" because of course the wifi was off. So I turned it on and the login was quick. But what was scary was that the update download stared up during that time and the progress bar was about halfway. Yikes!
I think it is possible that some people have the update partially downloaded due to their wifi being on at various times, and when you turn on wifi again, the download is continuing from where it left off. It could finish quick.
But maybe the update doesn't run right away? Maybe there is enough time for someone to activate Shield v2 first?

Dealing with this same issue right now! Got the phone in airplane mode. Otherwise i guess we could go through the whole reflash process again which I'm not looking forward to.

no need to re-flash, just factory reset the phone and the update that has downloaded will go away. if you are still having a hard time with getting the shield v2 installed without the update downloading, then do the solid explorer method: viewtopic.php?f=111&t=1073
