Trying to save my Note 7. I have At&t and have the 60% battery issue as my first step in the process of saving my phone.

I have followed all the steps listed except the SmartSwitch as it would not connect. Everything else is working fine until the Odin3 process where I connect the USB and wait for the phone to connect. It has been almost 30 mins and the two items outlined in the tutorial are not showing up... ID:COM and ID:0/007>Added!! Trying to figure out where I go from here... Suggestions?

Update: It seems I have a connectivity issue as I can not get the Note 7 to show up on Windows Explorer or SmartSwitch. Going to try to reinstall the Samsung SideSync to see if I can establish any kind of connectivity. I tried different cables with adapters (I only have 1 original USB Type C). I tried both 3.0 and 2.0 USB ports on my laptop (Windows 7). Once I establish connectivity I will try the Odin3 again. I did read that it is finicky... Not certain I have the phone drivers on my laptop? Samsung has obviously removed them from their website. Any thoughts on drivers being the issue?

For those that don't know... You backout of the download screen by holding the power button for several seconds until the phone goes black and it will restart. I'm certain this is only the proper thing to do if you haven't started the flash process as I could never get it started.

Will post further updates as I (hopefully) progress.

Do you have a Package Disabler?

No package disabler. I had wiped my phone getting ready to turn it in so it's stock as can be. I am 95% certain it's a cord issue at this point. Can't connect with SideSync, SmartSwitch, and it won't show up in Windows Explorer. My one pet peeve on the phone is that the cord doesn't stay connected very well, like if I bump it while it's charging it disconnects. It does charge just fine if left alone. Thanks for the help but it seems I am all stopped until I can get a new cord and my current location prevents that until mid January. I plan to factory reset the phone and leave it off until then.

Thanks for all your efforts. You all really have something going here, best of luck to you!

People are selling factory USB type C cables on eBay. You might want to check that out:

Look at this on eBay http://www.ebay.com/itm/222328503418
