Does anyone know if the UK carriers such as Vodafone are blocking the Note 7 IMEIs. I've gone through the current 23 pages of the forum "Carrier Block: IMEI# Changing Research" as well the "930F", "Note 7 Europa" and "Reliable 30% UK Fix?" topics in the 'International Carrier' subforum but I can't find any definitive information regarding the UK. I do see that the users in Canada are discussing IMEI issues regarding the SM-N930W8 extensively, and also a few posts about Australia.
I have an SM-N930F white battery on 60% and Beowulf has kindly advised me that the current methods to stop updates would work on the phone, so all I need to find out is whether the device itself is not blocked via IMEI. I have kept it off sim and off wifi since December for fear of having it bricked but now that there are methods such as the v2 Shield, I would happily try to get it back on if the carriers are not IMEI blocking?

Would be interesting if this is illegal in the UK? At least in the US it is illegal.
Would only be allowed there if the Phone is really lost or stolen.

They should stop paying attention to it here, too. Because of all the discontinued functions, they should understand that we are simply waiting for the next one. I guess they are trying to kill off the last of the Note 7's before they release it.
