I used your previous method (s package dissabler) which work perfectly. Unfortunately my note 7 eventually got stuck in an unrelated boot loop.. had to factory reset.. and no more s package dissabler licenses. I'm confident ur new method will work.

Total newbie here, but ever since purchasing and having to return the Note 7 last year, I've been longing to have the phone again as there is no comparison. Long story short, I found for sale a new-in box note 7 (second gen possibly? apparently sent as a replacement) . I have not yet turned it on as I want to ensure that I perform the right steps to prevent any updates from "infecting" my phone. Could someone help me as to sequenced steps to start from for a brand new phone? The model number is N930W8, based in Canada. (I could not find any details for a BNIB phone, as all posts are centered around phones already hit by the updates).
A followup question I have is, I'm currently with Bell, but obviously have not inserted a SIM yet. Once a SIM is inserted (and when in the sequence should I do this?), will it be locked to this network (as in, if I choose to switch to Rogers, will it be impossible to perform since Samsung isn't releasing unlock codes for the Note 7?)
Thanks in advance
