heck yea, i'm very excited. i'd love to be a beta testerElKabong wrote: Tue Apr 11, 2017 1:16 am Very exciting!
Just Curious, what is the reasoning behind beta testers having pre-ordered the S8? In case they brick their N7 they have the S8 for backup, or is it to test Shield v3 on the S8?
Thanks very much for all of your efforts for the N7 community!

Probably a nubie ?... But can someone pls explain (or link me to) what the perks are for N7 users who have v2 working, and are restored to 100%? I followed all previous tuts, & had a wonderful outcome... my N7 back and fully-functional! I'm concerned about moving into the v3, and jeopardizing the progress made thus far. Any insight would be greatly appreciated. Thx

Hi
I'm slightly confused. I have a UK Note 7 that's never had any shield on it. It''s also never had any software updates. Always just used the solid explorer method to delete the update packages from ever starting. If I want to go down the route of using the Shield (v3) is it as simple as the NFC method video and that's it or do I then need to delete packages etc? I also find it very difficult to judge from the forum what is the latest official method.
Thanks for any help

How can i enable this app, always says that i dont have enough postRRiVEN wrote: Tue Apr 11, 2017 1:40 am There is some unique requirements to get the v3 method working. One is NFC provision on a fresh phone. (before the setup wizard is done)
The S8 crowd will be the perfect testers for this as they will be getting a new phone soon.
You don't have to use the v3 method, Knox support is still there, but we all saw how fast Samsung pulled Knox support when they wanted to

So I'm just trying to be thorough with how to properly install v.3 on my Note7. I've been running v0.5.8 and still have solid explorer and s package disabler as well. I do not have a 2nd device, so NFC provisioning is not viable. What is the correct procedure? Is my only option the "v3 computer way" or can I just install v.3, open and log in, and then just delete v0.5.8? I just want to make sure that I do it right without the possibility of that kill update sneaking in.

Thanks alot ! after all busy months, finally managed to at least shield my 60% charged-capped Note7 from the pop up updates. Was thinking to flash it & get back 100% but I got my s8 already & note8 is coming. ( also note7 in india market I heard ) so I will just leave my original note7 alone with that 60% as my collection item.

Just like Shield v1 and v2 you need at least 5 posts to use Shield v3.dule2303 wrote: Sat Apr 29, 2017 7:41 am I have a problem when i try to activate this app i always have popup with text that i dont have enough post, please help, thanks
I will update the Shield v3 posts to make that clear

What if we didn't pre-order but got it on release date? Can we still have access?
