Hey all,

Apologies if this has come up before and/or been answered previously but, is there a way to have the notification badge icon for the Note 7 software update on the settings button removed?

Similar in question, the bit at the top of the settings page that says "Software Update; Tap here to update the firmware to the latest version and use the latest features." is super annoying too.

Any way to remove either of these? Thank you!

Disabling icon only removes the shield icon, what needs to be removed is the orange number 1 on the settings icon and the software update window within settings, is it possible to remove this?

Let me talk to Daniel about this and see what's possible. Thanks for the suggestion.

Played with it today and it can be removed using a factory reset then it's just a matter of getting the Alliance Shield V3 installed and running to block the usual updates, it can be done but you have got to be quick.....

Well yes, it won't be there if the update is not downloaded but perhaps we can look into a way of expelling the download once it's done. Have you tried using the v2 method to patch the software update (which replaces it with a null patch) rendering it useless. This was our method when the first package Disabler went down. I have not ever had the update downloaded to try this. Let me know.
