Hello everyone new to this site since I decided to start using my note 7 again, need to know what is the current status with software blocks and disabling packages I need to be aware of. I did a factory reset and have not moved from there in setting it up. An info would be greatly appreciated. Oh i'm in the US Verizon network.

Check the Verizon section for updates on who to block OTA updates, etc.

Be aware of the type and generation of your note7. Is it an international or US version? Is it a generation 1 or 2? It makes a difference on whether the Shield will work for you

The current version Shield X works with every Note7. Be sure to follow the instructions to install and activate.
