Canadian N930W8 Technical Questions :)

Hey Everyone,
First of all, i want to say how happy I am to be a part of the Alliance :) I just acquired a Canadian Qualcomm N930W8 Build number N930W8VLU2API3 I was told by the previous owner its stuck at 60% he obviously factory reset it before he gave it to me. To my surprise, however, I was able to fully charge it and thanks to the shield app I have disabled auto update. A couple of questions :

what breakthroughs have been discovered for the Qualcomm variants?

I know a temporary root is available here on this forum but could not test it since I am in the process of unlocking the device and can not use a hotspot until its unlocked.

Can we get full root?

Can we unlock the bootloader/ or install a custom rom?

how can I backup/pull my current firmware can it be done using ADB?

And do i need to do anything other than installing the wonderful ShieldX to keep the phone fully functional ?

Yes, however just know that you can't downgrade back to the Original Firmware and we have received reports that Canadian users can't get a cell signal after the full root

Nope that is it. Make sure the packages are disabled in the Shield and you are good to go
