noname wrote: Mon Apr 09, 2018 8:51 pm Has anyone had success getting this to work on a phone that was running N930VVRS2APHE?
I have a 16GB sdcard in the phone. Not sure this matters, but the OP stated that an sd card was required.
Before starting the process I enabled OEM unlock. The phone shows FRP as being off.

I followed the steps, using the v2 bootloader binary.
After doing everything, when it boots into the install menu, it starts by saying erasing, then counts from 0% up to 25%, then skips to 32% then says erasing again.
After this it just keeps boot looping

I tried to go into the recovery menu, and it shows Recovery booting... in the top left corner and then reboots.

Any help would be much appreciated
Short Story No. Update to v3 bootloader.

Do I have to install TWRP/CWM binary?
Did you figure this out? Having the same problem

Don't update the SU binary. Turn off notifications so it won't keep bugging you.

That is in the readme with the files, I will add it to the directions on this page

Friend good day and thank you very much for sharing the files for this device that has been left in oblivion !. At this moment I have a problem with my note 7, it does not enter download mode, it has a hard brick, this happened because when performing the procedure of this post there was a power cut and the process was not completed, I read that with a backing of the start block of a note 7 of the same variant can be repaired,
but for this I require a full backup block (blk0) in .img format of another fully functional and functional device. It must be the exact variant of my N930P device. ! Important. To be able to create an SD Live (boot) card. That's why I need your help, my friend, thank you in advance. I hope and can answer my request for help ... please ...?

Hi Takeshi. Do you still have a problem with the phone or is it fixed. I also had a power cut while flashing the phone and it would only go to the "there was an error while updating - - - - - " screen but I managed to get it into download mode with button combinations ( alternate V- + Power, and V- + Power + Home). Hope your N7 is OK!

So i'm not seeing the folder for device prepping, and I'm not stuck in a bootloop. Nor can I get TWRP to install.

What version of Note 7 do you have?

You can't install TWRP on the Snapdragon version as the bootloader is locked.

Nowhere does this tutorial mention TWRP so I am confused? Did you read the entire tutorial?

This uses a mix of different carriers ROMS, Bootloaders, PIT file, and Radio to achieve root and restore from the death update.

This is awesome! Been waiting a while for a root method that works. I was able to follow and successfully complete the rooting. Everything works except fingerprint sensor which is fine and unfortunately its not detecting my canadian telus sim card.

Does it say non Verizon sim card or it doesn't think a SIM card is inserted?
