Hi, I thought about using my Note 7 after 2 years but after taking my SIM Card out of my iPhone and placing it into the Note 7 it just stopped working. I then tried to put it back into the iPhone and it didn't work there either. After reactivated my SIM Card through Verizon or whatever is there a way to prevent this from happening on the Note 7 by rooting it or going back to a previous firmware?

In past, Verizon 'hotlined' Note 7 users in the way redirecting all outgoing calls to their hotline. Seems that they changed it now by blocking sim cards that try to register with a Note 7.
But since you always are recognized as a Note 7 user while registering in the carriers' network, no matter if you have a former firmware or if you achieved root, this will happen again with Verizon. The only way would be to choose another carrier...

What if I were to use another sim card from the same network?
