I had to inactivate my FB account (Beth Ostrander) and I lost our chat regarding switching from Verizon to StraightTalk. I have everything I need, but just not the chat. It'll still show up on your end. I hope I have the name right. Could you copy and paste it to me? I'd really appreciate it. No rush at all, but I can't access it. Thank you so much.

The first thing you need to do is have a brand new Straight talk sim card BYOP. If you have that. We can go to next step...
Put your ST sim in and cut phone off. Don't turn back on until everything has been setup with straight talk.
You need to have an account with them.
If you don't have one ...create one.
Then you will need to choose Activate service, (You will need to know the verizon account # and PIN) Straight talk will ask you do you want to bring your number or get a new number, you choose keep your number.
It will then ask you for the Number you want ported, current carrier account number, and account PIN. (PIN is account password) Then it will ask you for your Id # which is on your St sim card
On your straight talk activation card at the bottom you will key in the complete number.
Then Straight talk will ask you to add service card number (This will be the service plan card you purchased from straight talk, $30, $45 or $55)
Scratch it off and key in that complete number.
Straight talk takes anywhere from 10 minutes to two days to port your number.
When i ported mine from verizon it took about 1-2 hrs and When I ported from AT&T it took 10 minutes..
Verizon will let straight talk port your number, and on the verizon account it will be listed as "No Number" on account
The really cool thing about ST is they dont care what phone you bring and they never ask your IMEI #.... *wink wink*
The most important thing to remember is the number you are porting over, make sure its not the primary number on verizon or verizon will close your account.
(Thats any carrier)
** If you have a verizon/sprint CDMA device you are good to go.
** If you have a AT&T/TMobile GSM device you will need to go into your Mobile Networks settings and go into APN settings and set up your APN settings that Straight Talk sends you in a MMS message.
Your APN sttings are what allows you access to MMS and Internet access on their network.

Thank you so much! Doing this tomorrow. Can I just activate through their site instead of buying a card? I have the byop sim and everything else. Just didn't want to run out to store for card when you can get them online. Thanks, again!

Yeah, she wanted me to make sure it wasn't the primary number because it shuts the whole account down. Since my number isn't the primary and the person with the primary number wants to stay on Verizon, this wasn't a hassle. I just switched over to Straight Talk today. They didn't ask about my device, but did need the IMEI. They said nothing about the kill date or that it's a note 7. They didn't ask what type of phone it was at all. Here's praying!
