EDIT: This post is for people who like me are being forced to travel on a plane so they have another phone as their main device but want to keep their Note 7 alive and active for free.

I was in Church Sunday and saw an ad for FreedomPop.com that you can get 200 minutes 200 texts and 200mb of data a month for FREE. I clicked on it and it was a special order. Act now and the SIM is only $1.99. I said, "self what do you have to lose?" so I ordered it.

The sim came today

It really was as easy as pop in the new SIM and turn on phone. It connected to the ATT network and I didn't even have to enter an Unlock Code.

I do get this annoying message every time I restart the phone but it can be cleared so no big deal.

The Final step is to add an APN, which was super easy. For Verizon phones, Settings -> Mobile Networks -> Access Point Names => Add

Because I was in church and half paying attention I ordered the wrong SIM, it is the data only SIM. I have asked to be moved to the Voice, Text, Data plan but we will see. Free support is a 3day wait :roll:

NOTE you must go in your account and change to the free plan. Even though you sign up for the free account you are put on a trial that costs $13/month. It was not hard to change to free account.

Oh snap, I don't even need to do this but I'm going to just so my Edge can have service when I'm not using it. Guessing they give you a # and all that?

I am gonna do it for my Note 4. I wonder if this would work for the people in Australia and Canada?
