Been waiting a while for a root method that works. I was able to follow and successfully complete the rooting. Everything works except fingerprint sensor which is fine and unfortunately its not detecting my canadian telus sim card.

The links to the files are in the 1st post of this thread (at page 1). Or are you looking for sth. else?
The SD card should have 8 GB, but if you want to use it later as memory extension for pics, videos etc. I'd prefer are larger one. They aren't that pricy ;-)

The NOTE_7_PREP_FOR_ROM_FLASH.zip is in one of the files linked. I think it is the first one.
As for the temp root files, I think I found them all and they are located https://alliancex.org/file/temproot.zip

thanks for the temproot files !
I went to download the files the first file is Note_7_root_package.7z it has ODIN and some V3 root files , the 3rd file is V3 bootloader and flash files the last is death rom for V2 users .. it's AP_COMBINATION_FA60_N930VVRU2APK2_permissive_no-verity.tar not sure if that is a rooting file or not.
