I was lucky enough to avoid the 60 % update and ignored the recall... Will I be able to ignore the update or is it gonna be force ? Im on Verizon network.

I would definitely check out the instructions linked here, for the sheild app. It's what you need to block the update packages at the system. So they cant force push an update to you.

You can only defer an update so many times before it forces through. I recommend installing the update block to ensure you don't get hit

I've got the shield up and working, but every time I put it on the wireless charger it comes up with the safety recall...it got rid of the update icon in the notification menu..

I got same problem, already block update but when everytime when I charge it and get the notification recall... Anyone can help ?

Did you go to the NOTE7 checklist and perform any of these in the link below? Just scroll down to the list of repair problems...hth

On my note 4 i kept deferring the updates so i wait on the root...it went on forever and the update never got forced thru. I hope its the same on this phone...i gotta install the sheild!

I've just been deferring my 60% battery update since it was released. So far so good but it sounds like this new update wont work like that?

The new update will also be over the site which is why you need to use the Alliance Shield to block any further updates
