Not sure if this is acceptable or not but being part of this forum i wanted to see if anyone else has had this same problem. So like I stated while the phone is plugged in i get a noise coming from the small speaker above the display. It only does it while the phone is in standby or when the always on display is on. Doesn't matter if i turn the always on display off or on it will still make the noise. Even after the battery has been fully charged. I am using the note 7.

Are you plugging your phone in near a computer speak, subwoofer or any type of other audio device that could create interception? Sometimes when I charge my phone and I set it near or on my computers subwoofer or around the area of my speakers, all I hear is static and clicking and tapping and weird signal discrepancies. Is this issue coming directly from your phone, or? What are the surroundings and is it a OEM charger?Knowwutimean wrote:2462 Not sure if this is acceptable or not but being part of this forum i wanted to see if anyone else has had this same problem. I never thought about it but no i am not. I'm using my charger from my not 4. I will swap it out tonight and see what happens.NCqTee wrote:2496 You're using the original charger?
Nope. The phone sits alone while charging just encase something does happen, it's a Samsung charger but not the one that came with the phone. Yea its loud enough that i can hear it over my ceiling fan while charging. Is there a way to upload an audio clip to the forum? If so I will record the noise and post it.aztek wrote:2772Are you plugging your phone in near a computer speak, subwoofer or any type of other audio device that could create interception? Is it the factory charger? Are you charging near any electronics with speakers? This use to happen. To me at work and it was near my computer.

Just got off work. It is a Samsung charger but not for the note 7, It's from the note 4. The output voltage should be the same but the amps maybe a little different, haven't looked. The next closest thing is my tv and it's like 6 feet awayjeff.raffensberger wrote:2938 Is it the factory charger? Are you charging near any electronics with speakers? This use to happen. im using a factor charger and don't have this issue. However i have a car charger that i bought from ATT store with reqular charger cable and use the small usb-c type adapter that came with the phone and even when using that adapter with older style charger i also hear no noise either. You are possilby getting some interference from some where.

I have no idea where it would be coming from. Last night it didn't do it but this morning when i woke up it was faint. It's intermittent and varys of how loud it gets. I posted to see if anyone else ever had this "problem" but it seems to be just me.clburch wrote:3175 im using a factor charger and don't have this issue. I thought that the when you were using a wireless charger that a like wind sound would come from the speaker, I am not sure where I read this but I think this is true.
