I got these emails starting a month and a half ago or so.
Tomorrow is the big day.
Here's the message I just received(same as before):
AT&T Free Msg: Urgent update. Tomorrow 1/5/2017 Samsung's software update to prevent the Galaxy Note7 battery from recharging will be pushed to your Note7. The battery will no longer recharge. This Note7 was recalled and is banned on all flights in both checked and carry-on luggage. Your safety is our priority, please return your Note7 to the place you purchased for an exchange. For more details go to att.com/note7
IDK as I have the shield installed too but when I open it after a while it always shows that it is disabled....I just have my fingers crossed and my S5 ready to go.....

I have the Current Alliance 7 shield installed
How worried should I be?
I just got the same message on my phone. I'm worried just a tap, but it is what it is.

Interested that the shield is turning off for you. Do you use other methods of protection?
If you have the shield there is nothing to worry about. There are other carriers that started using the update on dec 27th and ppl were not affected. @prez03 i highly recommend you protect that phone before the update rolls out
@NCqTee I will. I just have to reach the 5 post requirement! I'm curious to see if package disabler will stop it, but it's definitely not worth the risk.

That's kinda like waiting' to be shot in the head to see if it hurts isn't it?
This may be a pretty stupid question or my general stupidity. Though if AT&T push out the update, assuming you start the day with full battery. Couldn't you just re-flash?
