I tried to find the information, but couldnt find anything.

After installing the AS tool to prevent the upcoming update, will I have to worry about this update coming through at a later date if I need to make changes to my phone later? Like if I decide to Root my device and need to flash back to stock or if I have to hard reset the device at some point. When the phone boots up again after a reset, before the AS app can be installed, will I have to worry about the update automatically coming into the phone when it first boots up? It has been quite awhile since I have done any rooting or FW changes, so I am curious as to how this situation will be handled.

Thanks for your time.

My guess is that if the update is still on there server you will get hit. People were still getting hit with the 60% update while trying to figure out how to block updates up until the 0% update went out. Currently only exynos versions are rootable. So being on Verizon I wouldnt worry about that part, yet. Someday, hopefully though. I'm unaware if Verizon can roll back from 0% or not. I've not come across that issue yet. I know AT&T is locked at 0%. Something to maybe keep an eye out for.
But, yes to answer your question. Just be extra cautious if you have to revert or remove the sheild shield for any reason. Take the sim out, keep Wi-Fi off, air plane mode on. I'm pretty sure you can download the sheild .apk to you computer and transfer as well if you need to with your internet connection on you phone.
