I heard that ATT as well as Verizon are going to send a kill update to stop wireless service through the IMEI. Does anyone know if this is true?

I just did and it's in airplane mode and completely turned off. And will stay like that for several days.
I believe the updates are actively pushed. After you turn off airplane mode, it will eventually catch up unless it's disabled. When everyone got the 60% update, my phone was off as I was away on trips. When I got back, 2 weeks later it updated overnight.

I read that TMO started killing batteries on 12/28

Has anybody survived that with disablers?

I also got this message, but only read it 25 minutes ago! I'm now in full panic mode! I'm sick as a dog and every bone in my body is screaming but this has to take center stage! I love my Note 7. I will do whatever it takes to keep it!

I still dont know how this is legal. I am paying monthly for this phone. I own it yet they can mess vandalize it? Can you imagine driving a new car off the lot and the dealership saying, your engine might fail so for the greater good, we will prevent you from starting it? this is crazy!

there has to be a way to litigate this!

All I want them to do is give me a Loaner till the N8 comes out.

Then trade out for the N8.

I never would have bought a S7 Edge

Yes T-Mobile pushed the kill update.. yes our shield is working. As for the imei those of you on payments (at&t still charges us) and pay on time.. they are binded by that contract. You can sue.. they try to cut my service I plan to and they STILL won't get my phone. I have an original pre order 100% battery #suckitsammy
