Mine is still okay. I have not yet installed the Shield. I am hoping to do this today.

Since this is a Verizon post. However is the first person to get the notification can you screenshot it and post rather you have the shield or not.

My phone is still going strong with the Shield. So thankful that someone with WAYYY more smarts than me was able to circumvent this update. Looking forward to someone posting a screen shot of the update. Since my Shield install, the update for the reduced battery charge disappeared. It had been hanging around a couple of weeks. Thank you for putting up this web site!

I have been ignoring the system update notifications for a while and disabled the auto updates. I put my phone on airplane mode today, but should I also take out the sim card before downloading the shield app?

As I understand it; verizon only postponed the update, but it is happening. ....even if it isn't, i'd protect myself JUST IN CASE! Verizon is a nasty company; however, their coverage is the only game in town where I am. I wouldn't be surprised if they SAY they aren't going to push the update; and then, do it anyway...just because they can. ...kind of like getting rid of the unlimited data plans and going to the tiered payment plans: screw you customers, i'm a greedy bastard! ...hey verizon: I still have an unlimited data, a note 7 that you can't push an update on to, and most of all: ┌∩┐(◣_◢)┌∩┐

Haha, I like this guy!

I am excited to test my shield Sunday when the update is pushed by Sprint.

Nothing has happened to my phone yet. I installed the BK disabler. I hope that it's still blocking the automatic download.
