I believe I did it right. I had the notification for the firmware update but never installed it. Did the steps in this tutorial (http://note7alliance.com/viewtopic.php?f=14&t=30), however, not sure ive done it correctly. After finishing it did remove the prompt to update my phone however, im unsure why I needed to download Samsung Smart Switch. Didnt use it in the tutorial so want to make sure im not missing something. Also, after finishing should I change back any of these settings.
"On your Note 7, go to Settings---> Developer Options---> Scroll down and turn on USB Debugging, OEM Unlock and Verify Apps via USB"
Thank you.

If you already had Samsung drivers installed, then you may not have had to use Smart Switch. We recommend it just in case because the drivers can be finicky. I left all those settings on just in case I'm ever unable to turn the phone on or need to recover my phone. It's really up to you. It won't harm anything to leave it on.
