Idk what is going on, I received but never installed the 60 percent update. I went to sleep 8 hours ago with 25 percent and am using the original charger and same outlet that gave me 100 percent the night before. Going to try to charge it while powered down amd be back with results later. I have the note 7s on Verizon.

Can Verizon force or push their updates to my N7 without my accepting it?

I shut it off and plugged in at 30 percent. My phone estimated 3 hours 56 minutes until full charge. I tried various charging ports and the lowest estimated time I could get was 2 hours 26 minutes until full. After charging for a little over an hour powered down I have 53%. I'm waiting for my local store to open then I am going to go down and try to buy a new charging cable. Pretty sure that is not going to help, but I am trying to be optimistic that the timing of this is just coincidence. I do have my shield app up and running. Time to charge phone from zero to 100 yesterday and previously was approximately 1 hour 45 minutes .

As we've been telling members, the update can only be ignored so many times before it auto installs

After buying a new non oem charger it only took me 45 mins to charge up to 100%. My conclusion is A) the original charger went bad or B) installing the shield yesterday somehow interferred with my device's recognition of the OEM charger. More likely A obviously since others haven't had this issue. As far as not getting the 60% update, I bloated out all of my memory with an app so that hopefully there is no room for that install. Not sure it will hold true, It's just a theory.
