Got quick question. After my installment of the battery rollback patches and shield the other day. I got some notices today in reference to a bunch of my apps needing updating. Most of the ones i used i manually updated one by one. But once i cleared the long list a bit i noticed that there were some app update notifications for some ATT apps and Samsung Apps. Now for the ATT the only one i really use is the FamilyMap app which allows me to check on locations of cellphones on my account. The others i don't use or have never used them. For the samsung apps i noticed an update for the Gear2 watch app and also Samsung Smart Switch Mobile app which of course allows you to back up your phone and restore settings and apps from a backup.

First are there any apps that it may be advised to not update them in general? Also what about the Samsung Smart Switch mobile. Is it possible that Samsung has hidden some possible booby-trap with it or remove support for Note 7 in it. Could be me just being paranoid. Any thoughts on this?

Would say, better to handle with care than to get hit by some hidden stuff. If they are so evil to focus all of their engineering capacity in developing bricking updates, it's possible to infiltrate something via the apps too. For the smart switch you can use the pc version for backup / restore. Carrier based apps I didn't update since October and they are just doing what I want thme to do.
