VERIZON ACCOUNT - Equipment charge

I checked my Verizon account just now, and on January 5th, there was a new posted equipment purchase receipt that shows that a recalled device was returned or being returned with a 2 day shipping option with a total price of $0.00. It's under the billing menu where you find documents and receipts. My actual bill remains the same and I checked for next month's bill which is ok too. I'm posting this so other Verizon users can check their accounts to see if they were charged or just have the receipt for $0.00

I wonder if this receipt is for a return box that they might be sending me? Or is it a receipt that they've wiped it off my account? I've never contacted Verizon in years and have done everything online as far as ordering phones etc, so if it's a box then it's something automatic.

I suggest other Verizon customers check their accounts as soon as possible.

Was that a device payment line or 2 year contract pricing. I had something similar on my account but it was 450 refunded (the amount I paid in store) not zeroed out.

I was under a 2 year contract and refunded. The contract date is still valid through August 2018.

I just found this additional information on my account which is below:

I just read on Android Forums website that "RECALL SYS DRIVER" is what Verizon calls the product (box with gloves etc), they send out to Note7 owners to return their handsets. So, I guess I'm getting a box And I'll wait for Verizon to blink

I have the $0 receipt just like yours... And like you, I have absolutely no idea why. I will see if I receive a box for some reason? I made a down payment on my phone when I bought it but it is not paid off.

You know, I think if I get a box I'm going to go ahead and mail it back to them and still keep my phone... That will mess up their paperwork! LOL because they're not going to open the box to verify whether I actually put the phone in or not!

Yeah... but at least I'll be polite about it... I'll put a tiny thank you card in the innermost bag that says, "Thank you so much for your concern, but you can't have my Note 7! I enjoyed putting together the box, though. Good Times..."

or maybe another approach...

perhaps a little card that says, "Daddy Sammy, I know I was supposed to come home... but I've decided I want to live with Mom for now! She really needs me... I'll be safe, I promise! Hope you understand... Your loving child, GN7"
