I tried to install the Chase Pay app, but when I try to login, it first tells me that it doesn't recognize my phone. After I go through the process of getting a temporary identification code, it says my user i.d. and/or password is not correct. I worked with customer service to try to rectify it, but it didn't work (besides, I've successfully gone through this process anytime I tried to login on a new/different computer or device.
Do you think it is not working because of a previous upgrade? I reversed the 60% battery problem (my thanks and appreciation go out to you) but I'm not sure how many other things that update hinders.

I am not an expert on this matter here - I have chase as well - never used the the chase pay app - with the rollback - the app may not work due to security issues - this might be an inconvenience but in my opinion it's worth it if your Note 7 is still functional otherwise

So you flashed firmware to get back to 100%?coachmontague wrote:5929 I tried to install the Chase Pay app, but when I try to login, it first tells me that it doesn't recognize my phone. Yes - I think. I used the process posted on this site - sorry, I'm new at this, so the language throws me off a bit. I did download the firmware for my phone, the Odin and Winwar and followed the instructions to get my phone back to 100%.
Thank you, Rockslag - I agree - it is a small inconvenience considering. I will find another way if I can't resolve using it on my phone.

When you flashed the files, did you flash all 4? And if so, did you flash the last file... as home csc? Or was it simply just csc?

I guess I'm trying to say, that if you used home csc, your phone should be fine, but that since it doesn't wipe your data it can make you phone do weird things like not be able to use things that access through Knox. I.e. pay apps. Also, Samsung apps. Ummm, my best recommendation would be to back up your data and try a factory reset and see if that helps. If not, try reflashing all 4 files but use CSC instead of home-CSC. Those are what my go to trys would be.

The home file was in a grayed-out area. The other 4 files were uploaded into Odin before the process was initiated. My other payment/banking app still works, so I'm not sure what the issue is. Is that what you mean when you say I should flash those 4 files?

If you notice in the picture where the carrier specific code (csc) goes, you can place either home-CSC or a csc file. Home-CSC keeps your on board data on tact, the plain old csc file doesn't. It wipes your phone like new. So, sometimes when you use home-csc it makes things a little weird. Things don't interact as fluidly. But, it sounds like that wasnt an issue?coachmontague wrote:6786 The home file was in a grayed-out area. The other 4 files were uploaded into Odin before the process was initiated. Have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app?
Sounds like this wasn't a customer service issue they could realize either?
If you dont want to reflash either, sometimes a hard reset will bring things back to normal as well. Ummm, but be aware that you need to redo all the stuff to install the shield before you go back on line if you reflash or factory reset.
